Repair Evaluation Service
Before any work begins, we need to understand what we're dealing with — and so do you. Our Repair Evaluation service is the first step for any equipment coming into HamTEK for diagnosis and repair. What's included:
A qualified HamTEK engineer will inspect and bench-test your equipment, reproduce and diagnose the reported fault, and provide you with a written assessment covering the nature of the fault, the work required, and a repair quotation. There is no obligation to proceed — you decide what happens next.
What to expect:
Once your evaluation order is placed, you'll receive instructions for safely shipping or delivering your equipment to us. We aim to complete evaluations within five working days of receipt. You will be contacted with our findings before any repair work is authorised.
When submitting your order, please provide:
- Manufacturer & Model — so we can source documentation and any required parts
- Serial Number — for accurate records and warranty checks
- Fault Description — please be as detailed as possible: describe the symptoms, explain how to reproduce the fault, and include anything you know about what may have caused it (e.g. a drop, water ingress, a lightning event, incorrect supply voltage, or a gradual onset). The more we know, the faster and more accurately we can diagnose.
